Terms of Service

Terms of Service

Effective October 14, 2026

These terms are between you and Wortham Innovations LLC, a Connecticut company doing business as Kinvox. They cover churches that pay for Kinvox and the members who use a church app built on it. Using the website or a church app means you agree to them, along with our Privacy Policy.

For churches, in short

  • $500 one-time setup, then $200/month — $150/month locked in for our first five founding churches.
  • The monthly fee starts the day your app is live in the App Store or Google Play, not before.
  • Cancel any time; you won’t be charged for the next month.
  • The setup fee is fully refundable until we start building your app.
  • Your church owns its Apple and Google accounts and its content.

Using a church app

You must be 13 or older to create an account. Keep your sign-in details to yourself, and give accurate information when you sign up.

You’re responsible for what you post. You keep ownership of it, and you let your church and us host, display, and share it inside the app so the app can work.

Community standards

Church apps are shared with people of every age. Don’t post anything that is:

  • Harassing, bullying, threatening, hateful, or abusive toward anyone
  • Sexually explicit, violent, or otherwise inappropriate for all ages
  • Unlawful, or someone else’s private information, photos, or work without their permission
  • Spam, advertising, or an attempt to impersonate someone

Use the flag icon to report a post, and block people from your profile settings. Your church’s admins review reports and may remove content, restrict posting, or remove an account that breaks these standards. We may do the same.

Giving

Giving buttons in a church app take you to the church’s own giving provider. Kinvox doesn’t process, hold, or receive any donations. Questions about a gift, receipts, or tax statements go to your church.

For churches: the service

We design, build, submit, host, and maintain your church’s app, branded with your name, logo, and colors. The person who signs up for your church confirms they’re authorized to do so on the church’s behalf.

Fees and billing

  • Setup fee: $500, paid when you sign up. It’s refunded in full if you cancel before we start building your app. Once we’ve started, it isn’t refundable.
  • Monthly fee: $200/month, billed monthly in advance, starting the day your app is first live in the App Store or Google Play.
  • Founding churches: our first five churches pay $150/month, locked in for as long as the subscription stays active. If a founding church cancels and later returns, the regular price applies.
  • Price changes apply only with at least 30 days’ notice by email, and never to a locked founding rate.
  • Apple and Google fees (currently $99/year for Apple and $25 once for Google Play) are paid by your church directly to them and aren’t part of our fees.

Your Apple and Google accounts

Your church owns its Apple Developer and Google Play accounts, and your app is published under your church’s name. You give us access to them to build and submit your app. Apple and Google decide whether and when to approve accounts and apps, so we can’t guarantee a launch date — see our setup guide for realistic timelines. Because your monthly fee doesn’t start until your app is live, you don’t pay it while waiting on them.

Your church’s content

Your church owns its content — logo, announcements, events, sermons, and everything your members post. You let us use it only to build, run, and support your app. You confirm you have the right to use the logos, images, and videos you give us.

Your admins decide who joins and moderate what’s posted, and are responsible for how your church uses the app, including the moderation tools.

Cancelling

  • Cancel any time by emailing hello@kinvox.app. You won’t be charged for the next month. Your app keeps working until the end of the month you’ve already paid for; we don’t refund partial months.
  • When service ends, your app stops working and can no longer be downloaded with our service behind it. Your Apple and Google accounts remain yours.
  • For 30 days after service ends, you can ask us for a copy of your church’s data. After that, it’s deleted.
  • We may suspend or end service if payment is more than 30 days overdue after we’ve reminded you, or if the app is used in a way that breaks the law or these terms. Except in an emergency, we’ll tell you first and give you a chance to fix it.

What we can and can’t promise

We work hard to keep church apps running, but the service is provided “as is.” We can’t promise it will never be interrupted, error-free, or approved by Apple or Google, and we rely on providers like Google Firebase that can have outages of their own.

To the extent the law allows, Kinvox isn’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability to a church for any claim is limited to the fees that church paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Members use church apps free of charge, and our liability to members is limited to the extent the law allows.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Connecticut, unless the law where you live says otherwise.

Changes to these terms

We’ll update the date at the top when these terms change. We’ll email churches at least 30 days before any change to fees, billing, or cancellation takes effect.
